This is my third prototype
version that uses a length of slingshot rubber to propel standard
crossbow
pistol bolts or darts. It has been simplified to minimize a lot
of hand fitting. It can fire 14 bolts in 8 seconds that penetrate
drywall (plasterboard). As shown, the magazine capacity was reduced to
12 bolts to increase range and penetration.

Aluminum
bolts like this are commonly available in sporting goods stores, and on
eBay, (36 for under $10 plus
shipping). Also available are plastic (PVC) ones that give
better
range, but the aluminum ones can be weighted for greater penetration at
the cost of range.

Hacksaw and metal files will be needed (
although the metal work is
minimal), along with an electric drill motor.
